"Adventure: the pursuit of life."

That quote by Daniel Roy Wiarda, whom I'd never known before I chanced upon him on thinkexist.com by way of Google this very day, no matter who he is or what he did in his life, seems just about right to me. What is life if you never have adventures?

The funny thing about this particular update is that I'm updating a day later, and about something I just blogged about the very day before - I don't often do that! Well, here it is, I'll just come right out and say it. I am now officially the new Editor-In-Chief of The Pioneer.

I don't know how else to say it, or maybe it makes me sound haughty to say it at all . . . either way, it's the truth and I couldn't be more excited! I feel so extremely honored, I almost can't contain myself! I didn't know how much I really wanted this until, well, now. It's so funny. All the things I've planned out for my life are slowly falling into place, but some (which is another way of saying most) are changing and morphing into different things as they do so.

"It is extremely important for you to believe in yourselves not only for what you are now but for what you have the power to become. Trust in the Lord as He leads you along. He has things for you to do that you won't know about now but that will unfold later. If you stay close to Him, You will have some great adventures. You will live in a time where instead of sometimes being fulfilled, many of them will actually be fulfilled. The Lord will unfold your future bit by bit."
Neal A. Maxwell

Isn't that exciting? I am so completely ecstatic about all the plans God has in store for me, both in the church and with my life in the world, it's amazing how good He is!

There is so much I have left to do with my life, as does He! I think as summer is beginning and this last year is slowly slipping away into the past I'm getting one of the biggest adrenaline rushes I've ever had, I feel like I'm on the edge of everything and could burst away in a million different directions all at once.

So many things I want and hope to do in my life, I enjoy so many things. I only pray that God show me which ones to narrow my focus down to, and maybe soon? Ha! No matter what it's all exciting, and so much bigger than me. So here's to another adventure and my ever continuing pursuit of life; ever challenging, ever amazing.

"A large volume of adventures may be grasped within this little span of life, by him who interests his heart in everything."
Laurence Sterne
